Next Generation Rail Conference, Workshops, Site Visits & Networking Meal

Event Venue and Description:

The University of Sheffield’s Transport Innovation Centre Sheffield (TICS) and industry partners are organising the 5th Next Generation Rail aimed at bringing together early-career researchers and young professionals already working in the rail industry or planning to join the rail community in order to share ideas, promote collaboration and support innovation.

The conference  will offer valuable training and learning opportunities to enhance your skills and support your career progression. The programme includes a choice of technical site visits, a series of interactive workshops led by innovation experts and lots of networking and team building activities.

27th June – The conference will have three parallel workshop streams that will focus on professional development, intelligent mobility and innovation in rail engineering.  Kelham Island Museum will host the Next Generation Rail’s evening networking meal.

28th June – A choice of technical site visits in Doncaster’s Rail Cluster, including the new Hitachi IEP depot and the National College for High Speed Rail.
