What is SIP2?

The Sheffield Innovation Programme is a regional initiative which aims to stimulate business growth and promote the development of long-term relationships with SMEs by providing access to a broad range of academic expertise and university facilities. The support is in the form of bespoke research and innovation based consultancy, workshops and other events.

It is a joint initiative between the two Universities of the region – Sheffield Hallam University and the University of Sheffield and the Growth Hub.

Areas of Support

There are two main areas of support on offer:

Bespoke Consultancy: Discuss your business ideas and ambitions with relevant experts to scope projects that can help meet your aims and objectives.

Workshops: A series of industry focussed workshops, delivered by academic experts and covering a wide variety of areas including new science and technologies and developing your people.

The programme provides access to a very wide range of expertise across both Universities. This includes various engineering and design disciplines, digital and communications, food technology and business skills. However, this list is by no means exhaustive.
