Businesses urged to boost their growth through new Sheffield City Region initiative

The Sheffield City Region (SCR) Growth Hub have teamed up with the University of Sheffield, Sheffield Hallam University and the Scale Up Institute to offer businesses across the region a great opportunity to grow.

The SCR Scale-Up initiative is a support programme for established businesses and aims to help them accelerate their development and to grow their business. The free initiative is open to businesses in the region who have an annual turnover of more than £500,000 and will explore a number of elements around growth and scaling up.

James Muir, Chair of the Sheffield City Region Local Enterprise Partnership, said: “Ambitious businesses are at the heart of growth within our region. The Scale Up initiative, which will see forward-thinking organisations take part in innovative workshops and receive one-to-one support and advice, is an excellent opportunity that will lead to businesses expanding further, increasing productivity and becoming even more successful.”

Businesses who are interested in the initiative are being asked to complete an Expression of Interest form, where they will be asked a series of questions about their current vision, challenges and financial standing.

The Expression of Interest forms will then be assessed via a competitive process, and a number of businesses will then be asked to attend the series of workshops in the autumn.

The deadline for expression of interests is 29th July, with workshops starting in September.
