RISE scheme makes graduate recruitment easier

Businesses looking for fresh ideas, energy and enthusiasm can look to recruit a graduate, after the window for submitting vacancies to the latest RISE scheme opened.

RISE, a Sheffield City Region-wide initiative, aims to bring together graduates and small and medium-sizes enterprises (SMEs) by providing support to fill placement opportunities and increasing graduate employment in the area.

Run as a collaboration between the Growth Hub, Sheffield Hallam University and the University of Sheffield, RISE has helped to fill over 300 roles since its inception in 2013.

The scheme supports businesses with creating, writing and advertising the role, screening and shortlisting candidates, positive PR, and a £1,000 wage subsidy for the first graduate recruited through the scheme.
