Plans in for new landmark Sheffield building

Plans for the University of Sheffield to expand its presence in the city by constructing a 178,000 sq ft building have been revealed alongside eye-catching CGIs of the proposed scheme.

The development is earmarked for the heart of the Northumberland Road Campus, which already hosts a variety of academic and sporting facilities.

Reaching four storeys, it would incorporate three large lecture theatres – with a 760-seat capacity – teaching spaces and modern staff offices.

It would also comprise various ancillary facilities such as café areas.
