New plans unveiled for £50m mixed-use scheme

Plans have been unveiled for a new £50m retail, office and leisure scheme at South Yorkshire’s largest ever brownfield mixed-use redevelopment. The project is expected to create hundreds of jobs.

Property companies Dransfield Properties and Harworth Group have entered a joint venture agreement for the new 12-acre development at Waverley, Rotherham, located close to junction 33 of the M1.

The scheme will incorporate a 24,500 sq ft food store; office space; a medical centre; a new hotel; 70,000 sq ft of further retail space; alongside a gym, restaurants and coffee shops.

The development will formally link the renowned Advanced Manufacturing Park (AMP) and the residential area through a masterplanned retail and leisure development, incorporating community facilities.
