SME business breakfast event – Making Business: Ready for the Future

Our region faces an increasing challenge in meeting the demands of a recruitment crisis. Never has it been more important to consider your business practises to ensure that you recruit and retain talented people.

This event will demonstrate the support available through your local University and Colleges to recruit a diverse and inclusive talent pipeline for the future.

Hear from our keynote speakers, who will include – The High Sheriff of South Yorkshire – Martin McKervey, President of Sheffield Chamber of Commerce – Karen Mosley, The Chief Executive and Principal of The Sheffield College – Angela Foulkes, Group Chief Executive of UK and Irish Centre for Diversity – Solat Chaudhry,  and Senior Lecturer and Dept. Lead for Equality, Diversion and Inclusion – Marjory Da Costa-Abreu.

PLUS – put your questions to our panel of local business leaders including Irwin Mitchell Solicitors and Moore Insight.

You will hear about the specialist support via The Higher Skills, Higher Growth programme which offers free help to SMEs to innovate and grow, whilst providing upskilling opportunities for our future regional workforce. It is in everyone’s interest to ensure we close the widening skills gap to create a more inclusive society ready for the future.
