**Please note this is a two day series of 2-hour leadership innovation webinars. Session 2 takes place on 29th May 2020, 12-2pm. This event is open for SMEs based within SCR**

Sheffield Innovation Programme (SIP) is a regional initiative which aims to stimulate business growth and promote the development of long-term relationships with SMEs; this is achieved by providing access to a broad range of academic expertise and university facilities. The support is in the form of bespoke research and innovation based consultancy, workshops and other events.

SIP support is available to eligible businesses in the Sheffield City Region and the districts of Bassetlaw, Bolsover, Chesterfield, Derbyshire, Derbyshire Dales & North East Derbyshire.

About the webinars
In the face of the dramatic impact of COVID19 and keeping to public health guidelines, businesses, leaders and employees are experiencing turbulent change. Life and work are changing before our eyes, old challenges have become harder and it can be difficult to see the opportunities and paths ahead for our organisations.

This series of informal workshops are designed to help leaders take some time away from their day-to-day pressures and to re-calibrate their mindsets, roles and leadership practices to the current challenges and new opportunities.

The first set of workshops are given below.  Repeat workshops and additional leadership topics will be run according to demand.

Session 1: Leading Ourselves through Turbulent Change – 27th May, 12pm

Seminar focus: finding purpose, understanding emotional responses, prioritisation and re-examining our role, being mindful and developing support systems

The agenda will be interactive, collaborative and applied. You will:

  • be invited to reflect on your own situation at work
  • be offered some insights and models from research and practice to help you gain more personal leadership
  • be invited to work on your professional development plan to put these ideas into action
  • address any common issues that participants are facing

Session 2: Leading Others through Turbulent Change – 29th May, 12pm

Seminar focus: non-directive leadership, emotional awareness, role re-design

The agenda will be interactive, collaborative and applied. You will:

  • be invited to reflect on your current leadership approaches and any challenges you may have
  • be offered some insights and models from research and practice to help you develop your leadership
  • be invited to work on your professional development plan to put these ideas into action
  • address any common issues that participants are facing

Please note that you will not be offered any advice or guidance relating to the government’s COVID-19 response.
