Business Readiness – Managing cross-border trade workshop – AEO

Event Venue and Description – Ringwood Hall, Chesterfield

The changes that were introduced by the Union Customs Code (UCC) in May 2016 mean that achieving Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) status is more relevant than ever to International Trade business and it will continue to be relevant whatever happens when the UK exits the EU.

The UCC affects the way many companies involved in international trade do business and some of the changes introduced include mandatory guarantees and the requirement for all businesses applying to use customs regimes or special procedures to meet the AEO criteria making AEO status even more important.

This workshop will cover the following areas:

  • The background of AEO
  • The UCC and its impact
  • AEOC (Customs Compliance) – what you need to do
  • AEOS (Security & Safety) – what you need to do
