Business Innovation: How to Create Extraordinary Value

Event Venue and Description: 3M Buckley Innovation Centre, Firth Street, Huddersfield

Hear from leading organisations including 3M, Siemens and local organisations on how to innovate successfully and create better product design.

This event is aimed at businesses, particularly SMEs with potential for innovation.

Businesses will have the opportunity to learn new ideas from high-profile speakers around the theme of successful innovation, including how different companies adopt innovation practices to generate profitable new products, processes or business models.

Chair of the Leeds City Region Enterprise Partnership, Roger Marsh OBE will open the event and you will hear expert advice from leading organisations 3M and Siemens. 3M BIC’s Design and Visualisation specialist will outline the principles of generative design linked to leading edge additive manufacturing, which can reduce weight in product components, saving material costs and creating a more effective functionality, faster than traditional methods.

A panel discussion will feature speakers who will be joined by local company Drones on Demand alongside innovation support organisation RTC North.

You will also have the opportunity to take a tour of the 3M Buckley Innovation Centre, either before or after the event, to see the technology and software available to SMEs across Leeds City Region.

Business support organisations including the LEP, RTC, Ad:venture and Kirklees Council will be on hand with details of innovation support programmes and funding for businesses.

There will be a networking lunch from 12:30 and speakers will commence from 13:15.
