Property and Construction
The property and construction sector has an economic output of almost £1.4 billion and employs over 40,000 people in the Sheffield City Region.
In the coming years, employment will be driven by investment in housing, transport infrastructure and new commercial developments. Developments in the the low carbon sector will also impact on the sector including the retro fitting of social housing. Activity that creates the conditions for and brings forward development will directly stimulate growth in the construction sector.
