The High Value Manufacturing Catapult, working with the Gatsby Foundation, has through a series of country visits in 2018/19, collected best practise from around the world to propose a process for foresighting future skills.

Across two workshops in April, employers are being asked to validate what an organisation needs to do (i.e. organisational capabilities) to implement a digitalisation strategy at the organisation level; at the department or functional level and at the individual level.

The purpose of these 2 workshops are:

• To validate the organisational capabilities needed to implement the digital strategy
• To prioritise the organisational capabilities
• To agree the knowledge, skills and behaviours of the prioritised organisational capabilities
• To aggregate the KSB’s into potential job roles
• Estimate number of job roles
