**Booking for this course is essential – you will be required to have specific sewing and cutting skills to a standard level.  Pattern cutting theory is not required during these processes.**

Claudette Joseph brings you the master pattern cutting techniques of Shingo Sato. Claudette has worked for a number of years in the fashion industry as a designer for Arcadia, Jasper Conran and Jean Muir before launching her own label. TR pattern cutting translates into immediate and intuitive 3D draped creations in opposition to the more conventional artisan 2D techniques generally encountered. The concept will be easily accessible and a rewardingly creative process to put into practice.

Beginners/Intermediate
Day 1 – Technical demonstration of TR concept, exercise on half bodice and half skirt (designing into the volume)
Day 2 – Transforming sleeve, TR draping (exercise on bodice and sleeve)
Day 3 – Demonstration of TR-3D, integration concept (balloon and cheating eye)
Day 4 – Vortex technique onto the half bodice or half skirt
Day 5 – Origami technique onto bodice
