Managing Discipline and Grievance

Event Venue and Description – Webinar

The law requires employers to act reasonably in their discipline of employees and in dealing with grievances. Poorly handled processes can lead to unnecessary and costly employment tribunals.

This digital event will provide you with detailed knowledge, skills and techniques to effectively manage and conduct employee discipline and grievance procedures within your workplace.

The event will be delivered via Zoom, in two sessions, over two consecutive days. The duration of each session will be 3 hours.

The dates are:

  • Day 1 – 1st of December 2020, 10am – 1pm
  • Day 2 – 2nd of December 2020, 10am – 1pm

Having effective and compliant procedures in place can encourage people to observe rules and maintain workplace standards. When staff problems are resolved promptly, they become less time-consuming and are less likely to damage working relationships, thereby improving staff motivation and productivity.

Delivered via Zoom, using case studies and practical exercises, this event will provide delegates with techniques for handling disciplinary and grievance meetings, and give an in-depth understanding of the legal background which underpins the tribunal process, including the industry recognised Acas Code of Practice on Discipline and Grievance.

Delegates will have the opportunity throughout the day to learn through discussion of experiences, to add a real-life context to the discipline and grievance principles.
