Module 1 – Cyber Risks: What You Need to Know
By the end of this module, you will:
- Be able to name several common cyber threats that affect small businesses
- Understand why cybersecurity is so important
Module 2 – Beyond Simple Passwords
By the end of this module, you will:
- Know how to test your password to see if it’s been compromised
- Understand what 2FA means and why it’s important
Module 3 – Prevent Phishing and Viruses
By the end of this module, you will:
- Know how anti-virus software protects your systems and data
- Know how to install anti-virus software on your system
Module 4 – DNS Security: What It Is and Why You Should Care
By the end of this module, you will:
- Recognize what DNS stands for and why it’s important
- Know how to install Quad9 DNS
Module 5: Ensure You Have Backups
By the end of this module, you will:
- Be familiar with why backups for your data and systems are important for your business, especially in recovering from a ransomware attack
- Know how to enable full back up on your Windows or Mac machine
Module 6: Use DMARC to Protect Your Email Domain
By the end of this module, you will:
- Know what DMARC stands for, why it’s important and what attacks it mitigates, and be familiar with the GCA DMARC Setup Guide
