Emotional Intelligence in Business (Doncaster)

Date: Tuesday 26 March 2019
Time: 09:00-12:00
Venue: Canberra House Training & Development Centre, DN9 3GA

Without Emotional Intelligence, teams cannot excel, managers cannot lead and organisations cannot flourish. This is an enjoyable, interactive introduction to Emotional Intelligence in business and, more importantly, how it can be developed for more effective practice.

The 5 main elements of Emotional Intelligence are:

-Self-Awareness

-Self-Regulation

-Self-Motivation

-Empathy

-Relationships

This Masterclass will cover:

1. Introduction to Emotional Intelligence. How well do you know yourself and each other?

2. Self-Awareness – Short Introduction and an exercise. How do make your decisions?

3. Self-Regulation – Short Introduction and a process. How and when to control our emotions.

4. Self-Motivation – Goal setting, when it works and when it doesn’t. How to make a plan.

5. Empathy – How to really see the world from another’s point of view. A process and an exercise.

6. Relationships – The Tuckman Model, and how we can develop as a team and what a high performing team looks like.

What are the benefits to my business?

All effective leadership is reliant upon Emotional Intelligence for optimal performance. Each delegate will have a chance to explore their own motivations, how they may differ from others and, importantly, how these differences are essential to performance.

Practical tools will be provided to take away and use to develop those areas of Emotional Intelligence that can be improved. This is the key to effective leadership and self-development.

Who is leading it?

Steve Faulkner is a facilitator unlike any you will have worked with before. Spending ten years as a trainer, speaker and coach, and 20 years as an award winning magician, his approach to training is simple; training has to be informative and relevant, but if it isn’t dynamic, stimulating and fun (without being cheesy!) it doesn’t work. The training needs to stick and be relevant, but more importantly be directly implemented in the workplace.

Steve provides ILM accredited courses, and non-accredited programmes in Customer Service, Leadership and Management, Advanced Communication Skills and Emotional Intelligence.

With a Postgraduate Certificate, at Master’s level in Coaching and Mentoring, Steve is an exceptional coach for both teams and individuals, meaning that as well as learning, delegates will grow and develop in line with their own needs. There is no ‘one-size fits all’ programme and is tailored to your organisation.

Steve has recently provided training for Sheffield City Council, Immediate Media London and Bristol (Radio Times, BBC Magazines/Good Food etc), MyHotels London and Brighton, and The BBC and Leeds City Council.

His expertise, experience and deep level of knowledge ensure that you don’t waste your money on another box-ticking exercise and invest in training that your delegates will look forward to and that actually works, improving the performance of your individuals and teams.
