The UK’s Department for International Trade (DIT) is hosting a series of webinars to discuss business opportunities in the energy sector in the North of England – the UK’s ‘Northern Powerhouse’ region.

The UK’s ambition for low-carbon economic growth has been expressed in the Government’s Industrial Strategy, Clean Growth and Net Zero statements and legislation in recent years.

This webinar series will review, over three consecutive weeks, three key areas that support the UK’s
ambition and their relevance to the North of England as a place to build economic value.

Current opportunities in three sectors will be discussed with businesses already operating in the region including Westinghouse, Electricity North West and Fulcrum Energy, with the opportunity to put questions to the speakers.
