Chris Rea Biography
“Chris Rea, founder and managing director of the AES Engineering Group of companies. Since forming AESSEAL® in 1979, the company has grown to become one of the world’s leading specialists in the design and manufacture of mechanical seals, bearing protection and seal support systems. Our solutions not only help to improve the reliability of rotating equipment but also lower emissions, reduce water use and provide an excellent return on investment.
In 2021 the AES Engineering Group was verified as Net Zero Carbon Emissions thanks to our own policies and procedures, our crusade to help prevent global warming and the positive response of our customer-base.
Today we employ more than 1800 people and provide customer service from 230 locations in 104 countries.
In view of the urgency of the climate crisis, we have created the Betterworld.Solutions movement to encourage Boards of companies worldwide to create a simple to understand policy to encourage sustainability projects. We believe that profitability, jobs and economic growth can go hand in hand with environmentally-friendly policies.
Our Group of Companies at AES Engineering has made environmental projects a priority for many years, but recent events have convinced us that we need a direct conduit from our own operators and suppliers.
We estimate that widespread adoption of more climate-friendly policies in industry globally, could have the equivalent impact of taking 529.5 million cars off the roads.
