Enhancement Project support edges design company towards Victory

Victory Design, a wholesaler of sign making and digital print equipment and materials, was the first company to complete the Sheffield City Region Growth Hub Enhancement Project – recording its strongest year along the way.

The Chesterfield-based company, which primarily works in the automotive sector, received expert support from a Business Growth Specialist to put together a five-year business growth plan, shifting focus to selling high margin products, such as high reflective pieces.

Carole Smy, Managing Director at Victory Design, worked with the Business Growth Specialist to identify what was needed to help the business grow.

Through the Enhancement Project’s Specialist Support Grant, a stream of support which provides a 50 percent contribution towards consultancy projects of up to £10,000, Victory Design created an effective sales and marketing plan, whilst focusing the company’s apprentices on customer engagement and retention to help them deliver best-in-market customer service.

She said: “The Business Growth Specialist was brilliant. He was always available, made the process easy and was able to provide me with the help that I needed to enable Victory Design to grow.

“I’d recommend this fantastic, client friendly service to everybody.”

The company has already employed new staff in production and sales, and hopes to add a further seven employees to its workforce over the next eight months – a milestone that would see it achieve its growth target two years early.

The Sheffield City Region Growth Hub Enhancement Project provides free, impartial business support to help small and medium sized businesses within the Sheffield City Region achieve their goals. Support on offer includes grant support towards consultancy projects, one-to-one business support and a number of Masterclasses.
