New additions to our Growth Hub team

We’re delighted to reveal some new additions to our Growth Hub Gateway team!
Nicola, Joe and Rachel will work alongside our Business Support Advisors to help businesses to overcome barriers and identify business support, trade, innovation schemes and programmes or access to funding and skills opportunities available to help South Yorkshire companies achieve their full growth potential.

On a day-to-day basis, they will handle calls and respond to email enquiries from businesses looking for support and will make referrals on to the advisors in each local authority area. They will also manage the business directory and events calendar covering business-related events taking place in the area.

In addition to the Gateway Officers, three management roles have recently been filled that further support this region’s SMEs in specific areas. We are happy to welcome on board Muz Mumtaz, Bev Foster and Andrew Armstrong. To find out more about the new Growth Hub team members, read our full article.

Help us understand your business needs by taking the Quarterly Economic Survey

The South Yorkshire Quarterly Economic Survey is now live for Q4 and we are reaching out to businesses to take part and have a vital say on business needs, requirements and trends.

The Quarterly Economic Survey captures a regular snapshot of business sentiment on the local economy and business matters. It is the largest and most representative independent business survey of its kind in the UK. It is the first economic indicator of the quarter, published in advance of official figures and other private surveys, and it consistently mirrors trends in official data. For this reason, the survey is closely watched by policymakers such as the Treasury, the Bank of England, the Office of Budget Responsibility, the EU Commission and the IMF.

Results from the South Yorkshire Quarterly Economic Survey are used to influence local, regional and national governments and decision makers to help shape the support structures available to the local business community.
