Businesses looking for fresh ideas, energy and enthusiasm can look to recruit a graduate, after the window for submitting vacancies to the latest RISE scheme opened.
RISE, a Sheffield City Region-wide initiative, aims to bring together graduates and small and medium-sizes enterprises (SMEs) by providing support to fill placement opportunities and increasing graduate employment in the area.
Run as a collaboration between the Growth Hub, Sheffield Hallam University and the University of Sheffield, RISE has helped to fill over 300 roles since its inception in 2013.
The scheme supports businesses with creating, writing and advertising the role, screening and shortlisting candidates, positive PR, and a £1,000 wage subsidy for the first graduate recruited through the scheme.
Businesses have until Tuesday 13 March to submit their vacancy, with adverts for the roles going live the following week. The exact start date, end date and length of placement is up to the business., but it is recommended that placements run for at least six months.
To be eligible to receive support through RISE, business must employ less than 250 people, be based in the Sheffield City Region and be new to graduate recruitment.
To submit a vacancy or find out more information, visit the RISE website. Alternatively, contact the Growth Hub’s Gateway team on 03330 00 00 39 for an informal chat or to see what other support is available to your business.
